project manager — About the position
Requirements:
Experienced with analyzing and adjusting construction schedules/Gantt charts.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
Knowledgeable about materials, methods, and equipment used in excavation and construction of highways, roads, infrastructure, concrete foundations, etc.
Understanding of business and management principles, including strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership techniques, production methods, coordination of people and resources.
Capable of monitoring and assessing performance to make improvements or take corrective actions.
Willingness to lead, take charge, offer opinions and direction, and take on responsibilities and challenges.
Responsibilities:
Schedule projects in logical steps and budget time to meet deadlines.
Confer with job leadership to resolve work procedures, complaints, and construction problems.
Prepare and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with job leadership.
Prepare and submit budget estimates and progress and cost tracking reports.
Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to leadership.
Plan, organize, and direct activities concerned with projects.
Take actions to address delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
Study job specifications to determine appropriate methods.
